GoUNESCOnference (GoUNES.CO) is a new GoUNESCO initiative that aims to foster an ever-growing community of heritage enthusiasts, students, experts and organizations. The objective is to use Facebook as an innovative and virtual tool to encourage creative expression and ideas to promote heritage and cultures of the world. It is also an ideal tool to tap the young generation a.k.a millennial on key heritage-related topics.
GoUNESCOnference (GoUNES.Co) is innovative because it is an online conference where experts (or subject matter experts) from different parts of the world can share their expertise on a specific topic and answer questions from any part of the world. It acts a tool for sharing and discussing important heritage topics using Facebook live. It is impactful because it is accessible to all. Anyone can join the session and ask questions to experts. It is accessible also for people who miss the session. In fact, if someone misses it, he/she has the opportunity to watch the session on Facebook Event Page.
We hope to create an environment that enables engagement among the heritage community from all over the world.? Our vision is to provide a platform for various heritage organizations to participate and drive relevant discussions. The element of engagement is crucial to our initiative because GoUNESCO strives to encourage and promote greater understanding of heritage by offering enthusiasts fun ways of engaging with it. We truly believe that heritage is for all.
